Namco Bandai and From Software have analyzed the first data distribution of Dark Souls collecting information from different areas and producing a final figure that is around 1.5 million copies distributed by the launch of the game. The game was most popular in America with 620,000 units, followed by Europe with 470,000 units, and finally Japan with 370,000 copies placed on the market with the Asian continent that collects a total of 40,000.
