During a press conference yesterday in Las Vegas, Eletronic Arts and Klei Entertainment have announced the development of Shank 2, the sequel to the action game released last year on Xbox Live Arcade. According to the developers Shank's character still has much to offer, and may do so with this sequel in which the gameplay will be further refined.

The story focuses around the main character, precisely Shank, a former assassin forced back into action when the lives of his loved ones will find themselves in danger. According to the words of team development, Shank 2 will be further improved control system, more fluid and intuitive. It will also introduce a new co-op survival mode that will see the players work together to face hordes of enemies. Below we propose a first set of images and the debut trailer, the game will arrive on the Arcade Liva at the beginning of 2012.
