Following entries from the forums around the world, Microsoft has confirmed the news of the ban to a number of Xbox Live account for the theft of content from Marketplace. In a discussion on the official Xbox.com forums, a spokesman explains how Microsoft has been found in users who have had illegal access to downloadable content, in a deliberate and not accidental, and how this violates the terms of service.

The spokesman also warns that Microsoft is paying particular attention to this type of rule violations, applying the severe punishment only in cases where more than proven the intent of the unlawful conduct.
