Ray Muzyka, BioWare co-founder, in an interview released a statement on the science fiction saga Mass Effect. The series, originally conceived as a trilogy, according to Muzyka not end with the adventures of Shepard's third chapter: "It's the end of an epic trilogy. The beginning of a new galactic adventure."

During the presentation of the demos at the fair Gamescom, Muzyka said several times that the team has "the desire to continue the series." Everything is so think that Bioware has already something in mind for the future of the series that apparently will continue even without the Commander Shepard that will end his story with Mass Effect 3 to be released March 9, 2012.
