Namco has released, through the voice of the director of Soulcalibur V Daishi Odashima, some new information about this oriental fighting expected next spring. Odashima has provided precise details on the Critical Edge and Edge of the Brave: the first will be a sort of offensive system that they will take the fighters that will inflict considerable damage to the opponent.

This system will be activated once filled a bar Gauge and Critical used during a combo. There will be cases in which the Critical Gauge can be loaded into two bars, some people will be able to connect up to two Critical Edge in a row.

The Brave Edge, however, will consist of enhanced versions of certain attacks such as Quick Move and the Guard Impact, the latter will be adapted to the new combat system of the game.
