A source close to the software company would have in fact revealed to Eurogamer that the title was being developed and should be out on the three major platforms by the end of 2012.

Borderlands 2 was the subject of rumors over the past several months, especially in April when it was spotted in a curriculum developer, doing so would think that the game was announced at E3 2011. Following that revelation, then, Randy Pitchford, Gearbox boss, said that the study had every intention to revisit the franchise.

In short, Eurogamer can be considered a fairly reliable source and if we add to this the various clues have emerged in recent months we can say that an ad Borderlands 2 is really just a matter of time. 2K has not commented on this news but as usual, we'll keep you informed as soon as new information will emerge.
