True Crime: Hong Kong revives thanks to Square Enix

True Crime: Hong Kong, open-world title that was supposed to revive the series was officially canceled last February by Activision. Now Square Enix has announced with great surprise that the title will arrive on the same market, although it will have a completely different name, as the software company does not own the original IP rights.

"When we saw the title for the first time we tried it, we both fell in love", so said Lee Singleton, General Manager of the London-based Square Enix in an exclusive interview with the site Gamasutra.com.

The game is still in development at United Front Games, Team located in Vancouver, and although the title was originally planned for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with an output set for this November, Singleton told Gamasutra that the company at the time prefer not to talk about platforms or release times.

Singleton has also specified that Square Enix did not detect the IP of True Crime, adding that: "It 'too early to say what will be the name of the game. And as for the removal of the title True Crime honestly think it will be very easy . Square Enix is already working on ideas. "

In short this time must really thank Square Enix, because thanks to you we have the opportunity to play a title always potentially very interesting that among the platforms that will be developed including the Xbox 360, although we have little doubt about that.
