Ryota Niitsuma Capcom has ruled that there could be a DLC for holders of the old version of Marvel vs.. Capcom 3 to update with content of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (as already done with SSF IV Arcade Edition), by stating that the amount of new features is too large. So even the owners of the old version will buy the game disc format if you want to use the new characters and enjoy the many new features.
