In a press release concerning the line-up for the San Diego Comic-Con, Square Enix has confirmed the release date of January 2012 in the west of its new RPG Final Fantasy XIII-2. E3 was in fact only confirmed the date set for Japan in December 2011 and a slight winter 2012 as regards the European and American markets, now we know that will come in January, and possibly during one of the upcoming events - Comic-Con, or GamesCom Tokyo Game Show - will know the exact date.
