The European and American fans of the Tales series have been used over the years to receive a mix of good and bad news and have seen a few chapters of their beloved series to be transported outside of Japan. Lately, however, Namco Bandai seems to have decided to focus more on its JRPG series outside of Japan, Tales of Vesperia has in fact been distributed to the Xbox Live Games on Demand and other chapters on other existing platforms were announced for our continent.

Today, Namco Bandai Makoto Yoshizumi, said the software company is even considering the idea to bring back the old chapters of the series in HD version.

"This is something we want to do and we are currently working to try to figure out if there is a chance to deliver some porting of the old chapters, such as: Phantasia, Destiny and Eternia, not only in Japan but around the world."

"But I still can not release more information. We are still debating whether this project is really possible and what these console port could be made."

In short, even if it is only a maybe, the idea of ​​having chapters of Tales of the old HD is certainly tempting, especially given the lack of JRPG out there. At the moment however we can only wait and hope for an ad Namco Bandai, perhaps even during the Tokyo Game Show 2011.
