Last week we had informed a news appeared in some recent rumors about a hypothetical network segment multiplayer RPG Bioware Mass Effect 3, due out in early 2012. It would appear that a source has revealed to Eurogamer that BioWare site is working on creating "a 'Mass Effect 3 multiplayer experience" that will be completely detached from the main campaign.

Eurogamer has confirmed the source of the rumor before, claiming that this method will in practice be a kind of Horde mode, which will see the players work together in dealing with waves of increasingly strong enemies, and this is not going to affect or influence the quality of the countryside single player. It is unclear for now whether such evidence disprove the presence of a competitive multiplayer, in the previous rumor, or simply confirm that the co-op to four players will join the other multiplayer modes. For now, EA does not comment on these rumors: we await further news about it.
