Other Ocean Interactive has announced the development of a game based on the famous novel by HG Wells, War of the Worlds, destined to arrive on the marketplace this summer as Live Arcade. The game will follow the events of the film shot in 1953 in addition to including a new story arc, new characters, settings and other stories, while graphics and gameplay will recall the atmosphere of such classics as Flashback, Another World and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.

Other Ocean is known for the development of other Live Arcade games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and will address the Mortal Kombat Kollection Arcade. We have more details on the title in a few days at E3 in Los Angeles.
