Rumor increasingly insistent for a remake of Halo: CE

After several rumors about an alleged development of the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, Joystiq says it has received new information from a "reliable source". The site has received confirmation that the project is in development at Saber Interactive, creators of time shift, with release scheduled for later this year. According to the sources of Joystiq, the game will not be a simple port of the HD graphics of the first game but has been completely rebuilt, but it seems that the original audio remains unchanged.

It is not known for now as to what graphics engine will run, but it seems it is not that of Halo: Reach, will certainly be an engine capable of producing a 1080p TV, and support for the latest in 3D. Unlike the above, it would seem that even after the campaign is provided for the return of the old original maps for the multiplayer of Halo, so as to allow new players to appreciate those first beloved maps, created when the Xbox Live did not exist.

Joystiq finally claims that the release date is scheduled for November 15, 2011, the day of the tenth anniversary of the Halo: CE on the first Xbox.

After being consulted on, Microsoft would not comment on the news, so for now everything is still pending; whatever the floor of the house in Redmond on Halo, however, almost certainly will come to know him during E3 of this' year.
