Generations Sonic could be the next Sonic game to be released by SEGA. The software house has two domains on the series, signaling an imminent announcement. In fact, via twitter, SEGA has released a message saying: "The twentieth anniversary is this year's Sonic, but Sega will begin to celebrate on April 7th and you can find out how just going on the facebook page of Sonic."

The two domains are registered SonicGenerations.com and Sonic-Generations.com, a name also appeared in the pages of the Spanish magazine "Hobby Consolas" in response to a fan who asked for the next title in the series.

During 2010 the rumors have emerged that suggested the arrival of a title that would celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Sonic, a title that should have included the rebuilding of the best 2D and 3D levels never appeared in the career of the blue hedgehog. The title should have been called "Sonic Anniversary" but it seems to have changed its name in favor of "Sonic Generations."
