Legendery Pictures, manufacturer of the film version of Mass Effect, has issued a summary IMDbPro officer who reveals some plot details: "Humanity has discovered an ancient alien technology that allows you to travel faster than light. Using coordinates stored, humanity stumbles into a hostile alien race known as the Turian. " For those who do not remember, are the Turian race belongs to the character of Garrus.

From this statement you can make a few comments on what could be the plot of the film. Most likely the film will be set during the First Contact War, or "Relay 314 Incident" as they call the Turian. Counting that "the incident" would happen in 2154 and that the events of mass effect only in 2187 began, the possibility that Shepard may appear in the film are very few, if not almost non-existent.

In addition, the co-founders of BioWare, Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Casey Hudson were originally listed as executive producers of the project but do not seem to be more involved at the time. EA is still overseeing the project, since it holds the rights to the franchise. Finally, remember that the screenplay is headed by Mark Protosevich, writer of "I Am Legend" and "Thor."
