2K denies the "great changes" on XCOM

Recently we had reported some hypothetical changes underway in the development of XCOM, reboot the series 90 years in development at 2K Marin. 2K has confirmed that the Head of the Australian 2K Marin, Martin Slater, has effectively abandoned the project, but denied the rumors of "major changes in the development of the game." "In the course of a project team to undergo changes and evolve over time," said 2K Joystiq. "We can confirm that Martin Slater is no longer with the study but there were no changes in the development of XCOM.

"The project continues to involve a strong collaboration between Californian and Australian sections of our study led by creative director Jonathan Pelling. Pelling is a former member of the team that worked on Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Freedom Force and Tribes."

No radical change then in the development of XCOM, which should arrive by 2012 and could show all 'E3 2011.
