EA has announced that the new DLC for Dead Space 2, "Severed", will arrive on March 1 on the marketplace. The DLC will extend the history of the game by adding two new single-player chapters, telling the story of Gabe Weller. Weller was a security guard equipped with a personal suit of enhanced security and a Pulse Rifle that will help him make inroads among the enemies of Sprawl. The big surprise for Weller, and for the fans, will be the return of Twitcher, a grotesque enemy first appeared in Dead Space.

In addition to this, players can now purchase new packs for Isaac, containing clothing and weapons. The "Martial Law Pack", the "Supernova Pack" and "Occupational Hazard Pack" can be downloaded for 400 MP. Dead Space 2: Severed hand will be downloadable for 560 MP.
