Halo: Reach expands next month with new maps

Microsoft announced that Halo: Reach benefit from its first expansion multiplayer on 30 November, called "Noble Map Pack", containing three new maps (Tempest, Anchor and Breakpoint 9) at a price of 800 Microsoft Points, which will also include a series new targets for 250 player points. Following are descriptions of the maps in detail and the first images.

  • Tempest is set between two bases that are abandoned each of the two opposite sides of the map in a forest rather bleak because of the battles fought in it, and supports playlists Rumble Pit, Team Slayer, Big Team Battle and Team Objecive. This map is fully editable with Forge in order to allow the community to create new maps, users can share with other players.
  • Anchor 9 is a basic orbital UNSC acting as a support for all other units and is a map that lends itself to melee in the middle and has a large open space. It will be available only to playlist Rumble Pit, Team Slayer and Team Objective.
  • Breakpoint will be available, as well as the classic playlist, even for Big Team Battle, and Invasion. It is set in an ice cave where there are also workshops with top secret information.
