Polish developer CD Projekt has stated on Facebook are still willing to produce a console version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The game is scheduled for release for now only on PC , which had fueled the rumors regarding the cancellation of the console versions of the game.

So the developer wanted to clarify the situation: "We are still willing to release the game console, and nothing has changed on this for now" statement was further supported by the community manager Alek Pakulski.

The hypothesis at this point most plausible is that after the release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings PC, developers are dedicated to porting console features both technical and gameplay probably different. We can do is wait for further news on this, hoping that maybe come from the imminent E3.
