In the last GAMESCom, Capcom had been expressed about the possibility of introducing in Lost Planet 2, as already happened with Resident Evil 5, the co-op mode offline in split screen. Since then, the publisher had not released further information on: the topic is brought up again today from the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. In an article devoted to this action game expected to ship on 18 May, is reported that this feature will be present in the game.

The campaign mode can be played by two users in split screen with a game view similar to that used in Resident Evil 5: In practice, the first player will be in the top left, while the second lower right, with two screens exactly the same as proportions.
